Channel G's presence at North America's largest environmental film festival over the weekend of Jan. 9th-11th was a heartwarming success. The 2009 Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival in Nevada City, California screened four Channel G films over the weekend. Yele Haiti, Orangutan Foundation International, Conscious Alliance, and the Channel G/David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust film, "Orphans Of Tsavo", were seen by hundreds of festival attendees. Conscious Alliance and "Orphans Of Tsavo" were screened twice over the weekend. Channel G receives requests after every screening with people asking how can they get involved, which other projects can they support, can we volunteer, and always a lot of thanks and praises for spreading the positive awareness about projects that might go otherwise unnoticed. Channel G's films were sprinkled throughout the weekends program that included internationally acclaimed documentary films from around the world highlighting environmental, social, and health-related projects. Channel G continues to reach out to the local community with radio interviews, films being included in the local library collection, and traveling on the Wild & Scenic On Tour program to over 108 venues around North America.
