Organization description:
Yéle Haiti is a non-political movement that was launched in January of 2005 to provide both resources and inspiration to help change the country. Music is used to empower development in the areas of education, health, environment and community development. Yéle Haiti’s long term goal is to establish a network of centers throughout the country, such as the Yéle Center which will be opened in the Fontamara section of Port-au-Prince, as a means of supporting youth development through education, vocational training, health services, sports and music. The Yéle Centers will include a music school, a music business school and a recording studio.
