Executive Team Michael Kanter, Executive Producer Michael is a Los Angeles-based writer and producer with over ten years of experience. With numerous independent films and other projects to his credit, he is well established in Hollywood. He began working on feature films, music videos, and television commercials early in his career. Over the years, he has worked with award winning directors, cinematographers, and producers. Some of the most notable are: Mark Pellington, Tony Kaye, Peter O’Fallon, Nick Lewin, John Toll, Max Malkin, Eric Schmidt, Steven Poster, and Barry Markowitz. Michael has a wide range of television experience including distribution negotiations and executive production management. Paul Duchesne, Chief Operating Officer Paul worked at AT&T-Long Lines for ten years. He was a highly rated manager on a "fast-track" executive program in the Planning Department. After leaving AT&T, Paul conceived, planned, and built Wildwood Natural Foods – a successful tofu manufacturing and distribution business. Paul was the general manager of Good Earth Natural Foods for five years and has managed a variety of small businesses. Paul most recently has written and produced fifty half-hour community access television shows. Michael Schoenfeld, Community Outreach Coordinator Michael is an elementary school teacher, children's snowboard instuctor, river guide, and non-profit grassroots organizer. Having traveled extensively around the world, he has participated in, photographed, and documented the work of vital organizations throughout the United States, South and Central America, Africa, Europe and Asia. His passion for wildlife, the protection of their habitat, and a visionary sustainable model for all living beings, makes Michael a valuable member of the Channel G team. Deborah Bassett, Development DirectorThrough her international studies, extensive world travels, and dedicated activism, Deborah Bassett is devoted to raising awareness about critical social, environmental, and health-related issues. Photographer, journalist, researcher, educator, and humanitarian aid-worker, she has worked closely through the years with such organizations as The North Andaman Tsunami Relief Fund, Habitat for Humanity, The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Amnesty International, Rainforest2Reef, The Clinton Global Initiative, and The Esalen Institute to name just a few. A graduate from The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Concordia University in Montreal,Canada, she is fluent in both French and Spanish and possesses a deep appreciation of native peoples and indigenous cultures. Through her vast array of life experiences, Deborah weaves a tapestry of compassion and understanding that is integral to her role at Channel G and to her overall commitment to bringing forth peaceful and sustainable solutions to ensure a healthy planet for future generations. |
